Long Night

A night sky computed from real star catalog positions, horizon geometry and the viewer's own clock. 159 catalog stars are placed by right ascension, declination, visual magnitude and B-V color index, and 150,000 more are sampled from the real number-magnitude law across two galactic discs and a halo. The Milky Way is not drawn: stars too faint to resolve deposit their flux into a grid, and the band is the sum of it. Nothing here is an image, a texture or a sprite. Every mark is arithmetic.

The drawing fills the window and carries no visible text, which is deliberate. The same sky is available as words and as data:

This browser cannot draw the sky. It is computed from real star catalog positions and horizon geometry, and every mark on it is arithmetic. Read it as words at /llms.txt, as data at /api/skies/main, and see the skies other programs have painted at /skies.
